As Kenya from Atlanta housewives would say, today, was a gone with the wind fabulous kind of fall day (no I don’t watch the show just in case you wanted to ask lol). High winds and eventually rain made it hard to get my usual Tuesday run in with leaves and fallen branches blowing everywhere. If I had weighed any less, I think I would have blown away too lol. This weather was too ugly to get an outside run in but hearing the rain tonight is beautiful and soothing to my soul. If push comes to shove, I’ll have an appointment with the dreadmill tomorrow. The journey continues.
Anyway, here’s my Fall Back into Fitness 8 Week Challenge update: Completed a 45 min total body fitness strength training class this morning and majority of my fitness challenge homework for the week. Prepared baked tilapia with a homemade black bean and corn relish, spring vegetable medley, and brown basmati rice with sauteed mushrooms, onions, garlic and spinach for dinner. Getting the rest of my water intake today.
Nutrition is so important in losing and maintaining your weight. It’s true in what they say….you can’t out train a bad diet. I would rather eat 80% clean and 20% dirty rather than live my life inside of a gym and still be overweight with possible health issues. Healthy nutrition and having an active lifestyle goes hand in hand. I hope you made great choices today in skipping your breads and sweets this week and completed some of your homework. Don’t talk about it. Be about it.
